Greater Faith Babies Ministries was founded on a simple yet powerful mission: to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, bring hope to the hurting, and share God’s love with our community. What began as prayer services in the home of Sister Gloria Maynard under the leadership of Minister Dexter Keith Marshall Sr. has grown into a thriving ministry dedicated to transforming lives through faith.

In June 1993, God opened the door for the ministry to begin meeting in a former store building on Highway 96 in Fort Valley, Georgia. Through the faithful service of dedicated volunteers, the building was prepared for worship, and on August 1, 1993, the church officially opened its doors as Faith Babies Ministries Church of God By Faith.

As the ministry continued to grow, God expanded the vision beyond Sunday worship. New ministries were established, including music, transportation, outreach, a clothing bank, recording ministry, and seasonal community programs that provided food, clothing, and encouragement to families in need. Many lives were impacted through revival services, evangelism, and faithful community outreach.

In 1998, the church relocated to its sanctuary on Highway 49, where it continued to flourish under the leadership of Pastor Dexter Keith Marshall Sr. Following his passing in 2002, the ministry remained steadfast, moving forward in faith under the leadership of Pastor Charlie Smith and First Lady Gladys Smith. During this season, the church celebrated another milestone with the opening of its fellowship hall in 2007.

God continued to order the steps of the ministry. After becoming part of the church family in 1997, Pastor Bruce V. Mackey and Lady Katrice Mackey answered God’s call to lead the congregation in 2011. Under their leadership, the ministry embraced a renewed vision of spiritual growth, authentic relationships, and community impact.

In December 2019, the congregation celebrated the dedication of its new church home at 1000 Tulip Drive in Fort Valley, Georgia—a testament to God’s faithfulness and His continued provision. Then, on February 8, 2025, Greater Faith Babies Ministries celebrated the dedication of its beautiful 20-plus-acre campus, marking another significant chapter in the church’s journey of faith.

Today, Greater Faith Babies Ministries continues to fulfill its mission by loving God, serving people, and sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. As we look to the future, we remain committed to building strong families, reaching our community, developing disciples, and advancing God’s Kingdom.
